Why its important to know your photographer.
Knowing your wedding photographer is so important to the wedding day. This is the one person(s) that will be with you all day. They will be with you from the time you step into you dress or jacket for this first time to that final dance with the love of you life. Knowing the cues and simple head nod for a reassuring look from them is vital. We are your biggest cheerleader on your day. So let us be there leading up to the big day as well.
A couple of things you can do to make sure you have a great connection …
In this age of technology a Zoom call can be a great way to initially connect with your photographer. If this is not something they do then that is a red flag.
An engagement session is another way. Engagements are a great way to see the shooting style and the way a photographer interacts with you. If this isn’t possible I will refer back to 1.
Great communication is a key element to planning with your photographer. Get a timeline for day of photography and then maybe have one more quick phone call a week out from your day.
